Connect TikTok

OAuth flow for the TikTok Content Posting API, plus what content types Unison can publish.

Unison uses TikTok's official Content Posting API. Both Personal and Business accounts are supported.

    Open Settings → Channels and click Add channel.

    Pick TikTok from the network grid. You will be redirected to tiktok.com to authorise.

    Sign in to the TikTok account you want to connect, then approve the requested scopes. Unison asks for user.info.basic, video.publish, video.upload, and video.list for analytics pull-back.

    Land back inside Unison. The new account appears in your channel list with a green dot if Unison can reach the API.

What you can publish

  • Videos (mp4 / mov, up to 287MB and up to 10 minutes for most accounts)
  • Photo carousels (up to 35 images, with selectable music)
  • Caption with hashtags and mentions
  • Privacy choice: Public, Friends only, Private

What is not supported

  • Live streams (TikTok does not expose a programmatic live API)
  • Editing a video after publish
  • Direct duet or stitch composition (use the TikTok app for these)

Common errors

  • spam_risk_too_many_pending_share is a TikTok-side rate limit. Wait a few hours and try again, and avoid scheduling many uploads back to back.
  • Upload appears to succeed but never lands in your TikTok account almost always means the video failed TikTok's automated content review. Open the TikTok app and check Inbox → Notifications.
