Replying from the unified inbox

How to reply, mute, mark resolved, and triage replies from every connected network.

Updated May 12, 2026·1 min read

The unified inbox surfaces replies, mentions, and DMs from every channel you have connected. The reply you send goes back to the same network the original message came from.

Filtering

Use the filter bar at the top of the inbox:

  • All shows everything in chronological order.
  • Unread hides anything you have opened.
  • Mentions is replies and mentions only (no DMs).
  • DMs is direct messages only.
  • Channel filter pins to a single connected channel.
  • Saved searches (Pro and Team) let you compose any combination (eg "unread mentions on LinkedIn from people who follow me back").

Replying

Click any thread to open the conversation. Type your reply in the box at the bottom and hit Send. Unison routes the reply through the same account the original message came in on, so your blue check on X stays attached and the reply appears as the right Page on Facebook or LinkedIn.

Threads that contain media support inline media reply (drop an image or record a short voice clip if the network supports it).

Status flags

Each thread has three status flags:

  • Open is the default for any new reply.
  • Snoozed hides it for a chosen duration, then surfaces it again.
  • Resolved archives it. Snooze it back to Open if you change your mind.

On Team, every flag is logged in the audit trail so reviewers can see who resolved what.

The search box at the top supports plain text plus operators (from:@handle, channel:linkedin, is:unread). Results are limited to the last 90 days for free; Pro keeps 180 days; Team keeps indefinite.

Mute

Right-click a thread to mute the original sender. Future messages from that person stay in the database (so audit records remain complete) but do not surface in your inbox.
